We left Canada's Wonderland and headed south to see Niagara Falls all lit up at night.
We were exhausted (we left the park about 8pm, got caught in traffic related to a crash, stopped for dinner...) and finally made it here around 11:30pm. I think the lights turn off at midnight (please correct if this is wrong) so I was really happy we made it. We only stayed for a few minutes (see: exhausted) but it was wonderful.
We have both been to Niagara Falls before, before we knew each other, so this was just a nice nature-related thing to see between the coaster parks. I hadn't been here at night and hadn't been on the Canadian side. I think it is worth it for both.
The area is super touristy (kind of like mini-Vegas, big hotel resorts and casinos) which these photos don't show. I think it would be fun to come back for a weekend or something sometime and get the full experience. Eric has taken the Maid of the Mist boat ride near the falls, but I haven't, and it looks fun (and very wet).
You will probably get wet viewing the falls from above, too. I was careful not to let mist get on my camera lens.
