Allentown, PA: Dorney Park - Thunderhawk / Classic Coaster

Thunderhawk / Classic Coaster was the fifth ride we rode at Dorney Park.

For a coaster that opened in 1923, this was pretty good. It is wooden and was less bumpy than expected (especially for being so old) and gets up to 45 mph.

The line area was interesting with signs detailing the history of the coaster. (There was no line whatsoever while we were here - on a Wednesday - so these were just snapped from the walk through.) Click on the photos to read the text better.
