We pulled into Port Washington with the intent of seeing at least one lighthouse but not knowing where any where. We found the visitor's center and the nice people there gave us a bunch of maps and directions to the 1860 Light Station. This is also a museum but we weren't there when the museum was open. There is parking on the street, which is also within a residential neighborhood, and this road is one-way.
In the distance you can see St Mary's Catholic Church. It was beautiful and made for some nice pictures.
The most exciting thing that happened at this lighthouse stop was the fact that the yard of the lighthouse was kind of roped/fenced in, and we chased a rabbit around it. There weren't too many people around so it was okay ;)
