Last semester Eric came home and casually mentioned there was a giant brain sculpture on campus by the Psychology Building.
Obviously this comment made me want to go find this sculpture. I kept forgetting to check it out in the fall, then it got cold, but finally this week, the weather was both nice and I remembered I wanted to find this sculpture.
There is an article on Atlas Obscura about the world's largest anatomically-correct human brain sculpture, but beware, the directions listed here are wrong. If you follow them, you will find the Psychology Building's courtyard (below), which is not where the sculpture is.
I was about to give up and decided to just wander around the outside of the building in case it was somewhere else. Luckily my curiosity let me find it; it's near the front of the building, facing 10th Street, right in front of the main doors.
It's kind of cool and kind of unnerving. If you can go when there aren't a bunch of students heading to and from class, it might be a little better and you will be less likely to get weird looks for taking photos of a giant brain :)
PS. Visit Bloomington just let me know that there was a city-wide exhibit of brain sculptures before this one was installed! Check this out!

I am able to tell them I am aware of what they're doing. I would absolutely suggest them on your next upkeep!
