Each year for our anniversary, we try to go out to someplace fancier than normal for dinner. Bryan recommended Peaks Lounge at the Hyatt Regency downtown Denver as someplace that was fantastic (and romantic) to go to at sunset. So we went there a few days after our actual anniversary date (we were too tired to go that day for sure!) to watch the sun set behind the mountains and have a couple of drinks. (We ate dinner somewhere else.) It was really nice to just sit for a while and take it all in. Mountain sunsets are so beautiful and I'm glad we got to see one from above the city line.
The streets around the Hyatt are one way so getting into their parking lot is a little tricky. We asked the valet and he gave us directions to go back around the building. I'd get there early so you can get a window seat (we didn't have a window seat so I was getting up every 10-15 minutes to take some photos). Drink prices are on par with what you would normally find for something similar (not too crazy, but no dollar shots here). It's a nice view of the city and the mountains.
