Columbus, IN: Visitor's Center

Columbus, IN, is known for its architecture. You can take a guided or self-guided tour via the Visitor's Center (which I haven't done, but want to!). And while you're at the Visitor's Center, go check out the staircase.

There is a giant Dale Chihuly piece hanging in the staircase. I blame my love of glass-blown pieces on this and on watching Nashville, IN (Brown County), glass blowing artists in person when I was a kid. (The other public installation of Chihuly I've seen was at the Bellagio in Vegas, and it was pretty much the coolest thing ever. Absolutely mesmerizing.)

I mean, really, how cool is it that there's a Chihuly piece hanging in the Visitor's Center?

Make sure to see it if you're ever in town. It's free to just wander into the Visitor's Center :)
