Bloomington, IN: Early Spring Sunrise at Lake Monroe

These photos were taken between 7:30-8:30am on Wednesday of my Spring Break (March 23rd) from the Monroe Dam Spillway. I had tried to catch the sunrise, which was really pretty this morning (lots of pinks and purples), and had just missed it. This location is almost 30 minutes from our house and I didn't quite get out of the house on time. However, it was still a nice morning with a great view of the water.

The spillway has a parking lot, a large grassy area, and a couple of picnic tables. There are big cliffs on either side of the grass that have trails leading up the sides.

Hopefully I will be able to get out to Lake Monroe more often as the weather warms up!
